WEDDING BELLS Last week my husband, three sons and I attended the wedding of Nathan, a nephew and the eldest son of my eldest sister. It is love that made Nathan marry at 4o years old. It was a beautiful wedding. We were all happy to see the first grandson of the Dirige clan to finally get hitched. Back home, I thought that a painting I did about LOVE is a nice topic for now.
LOVE ART During our trip to Scottsdale, Arizona two years ago, I saw the original LOVE sculpture. It is on display on a public park. In the 80's this LOVE icon became famous and there were many posters everywhere. It also became a cover for the popular book "Love Story." The poster inspired me to paint "LOVE" in the background. I did this painting in our first house. It was displayed in our bedroom. This is my second baby "Joy", smiling beautifully.
LOVELY TWOSOME Another view of the painting with my first baby "Rodney" and also Joy.I don't know what happened to this "LOVE" painting. I no longer remember what I did with it.I might have repainted the canvas with another art work. I am glad I still have a photo of this old painting. Our first home have so many memories and this painting was part of it. I wish I still have this painting and didn't part with it. Someday, I will create another LOVE painting.
