FIRST MODERN ART- The colorful background was my first modern oil painting. I did this painting before my four babies were born. Since it's modern art, it's anything goes. This painting no longer exists. When we moved to another house next door, I repainted the canvas and did another modern art. I didn't have any subject in mind. I did this painting with numerous colorful shapes to match the yellow & orange colors of our home decors.
BACK TO THE PAST This photo was taken during my first Mother's Day in May 1974. This good looking baby boy is now 34 years old. And this was our first house in Canoga Park, San Fernando Valley (Southern California). I did this painting in this house.FIRST SOLO ART SHOW In two more weeks (September 27, 2008), I will be having my first solo art show. This year, I have been extremely busy painting and preparing for this event. I will be showing thirteen brand new oil paintings. The theme of my art show is about "Slices Of Filipino-American Heritage, Homeland And Heart." After my show, I will post my new paintings on my blog. Meanwhile, enjoy one of my old paintings. It's good to look back and see how my art style have developed over the years.
