HOME GROWN TOMATO My husband is the hard working vegetable gardener at home. For him gardening is a great stress reliever after a long day at work. He told me it's cheaper and healthier to garden than go to see a psychologist. It's true! I have never seen him smiling so handsomely as when he hold and tasted the first fruits of his harvest. The photos below were taken last year. Although he planted 10 new organic tomato plants this summer, our new photos are not yet ready. So I am sharing photos from last year.
MY HUSBAND Tasting the fruit of his labor. This year he planted many yellow tomatoes but they are not as lovely as the previous year. There is nothing as satisfactory or thrilling than gathering and eating the vegetables one had grown.BIG YELLOW AND DELICIOUS TOMATOES FROM OUR GARDEN#1

You whet my appetite for those lovely yellow tomatoes. Yum! Yum!
Gr. Thumb-Welcome to my blog! Those yellow tomatoes are very good appetizers and make good salad too.
I've never had a yellow one. They are gorgeous. Your husband is right about gardening being better than a trip to the psychologist's. Great post!
Sandy-thanks for dropping by. The yellow tomatoes are special organic vegetable that is only accessible in certain nurseries. Whole Foods and Bristol Farms sell those kind of yellow toms but very pricey.
I could hardly wait to harvest my heirloom toamatoes.... I spend my mornings with a cup of coffee and watching the birds and butterflies..thanking God for such a beautiful day that awaits me!!!
Anonymous-thanks for your comment. We are having lots of extremely hot weather and the heirloom yellow tomatoes are plentiful. Which is good because these kind of toms are not cheap.
Your blog site pictures are absolutely beautiful. Hey, I'm growing lots of veggies too! No prize-winning tomatoes like Rhod's grown (just a patio cherry version)
but have green beans, Japanese eggplant, peas, strawberries, blueberries, oranges, cucumbers and an assortment of herbs (cilantro, parsley, basil, marjoram, rosemary,
peppermint, oregano and thyme). Now that I'm retired I have more time for gardening an agree w/ Rhod that it's a great therapy for the soul.
Camille-Welcome back! Thanks for sharing your patio garden. My have plenty of vegetables to enjoy this summer. Wish we had planted more like you. Maybe next summer.
Your tomato photos are joyful to behold.
